DIY hair repair: banana yogurt hair mask

DIY hair repair: banana yogurt hair mask

You Need:
1 banana
1cup plain Greek yogurt
¼ cup olive oil

The first thing you need to do is peel the banana puree it up until it is smooth and then combine the rest of the ingredients using an electric mixer or blender.( I messed up and mixed all ingredients up first and ended up with a banana stuck in my hair). So please make sure you puree the banana up first and then add other ingredients.:)

To use:

I applied the mask to dry hair from root to ends and then wrapped my hair in a plastic cap.Wear the mask on your hair for 30 minutes ,and then rinsed out the mask....Follow-up with a shampoo and conditioner.

Greek Yogurt is good for hair that is feeling a little brittle or dry and it adds protein.

Olive Oil nourishes, conditions and improves strength and elasticity in your hair.

Banana contains potassium, which strengthens and fixes damaged hair.

Have you done a hair mask lately, share some of your DIY favorite recipes?

  1. DId this rinse out well? I saw someone strain the banana before to get any stringy bits out. How did you hair feel after this though?

    1. @Elle I stated in the post you have to make sure you puree the banana first and then add the other ingredients....This will help with the stringy bits. My hair was super soft.
